Classes

CLASS ENTRY FEE IS $150

We have sign-ups approximately every 8 weeks (see the calendar for more information on sign up dates). Please note that our class offerings vary depending on trainer availability. Class sizes are limited and offered on a “first come, first served” basis.

Please let us know if your dog has shown signs of aggression. These are public classes with multiple people and dogs. We have a 0 tolerance policy for aggressive animals in class. Thank you for your understanding. If you are not sure if your dog would be considered aggressive, please fill out the questionnaire form and a volunteer will get back with you.

Puppy Class

This class is for puppies up to six months old (and sometimes older for toy breeds). We focus on basic skills (walking calmly on a leash without pulling, sit, down, wait, stay, drop, leave it) as well as socialization, so that your puppy becomes an enjoyable family and community member. We also provide guidance for crate and potty training, safe toys/exercise, grooming, and canine enrichment.

Session 1 Household Manners Class will be held on Thursdays from 6-7 pm

This class is for dogs who are six months old or older who have NEVER had formal training or may need to brush up their day-to-day manners. This class focuses on basic skills (walking calmly on a leash without pulling, sit, down, stay, etc.) and socialization for older puppies and dogs. Our experienced trainers will also help with troubleshooting common behavior management issues.

Household Manners

Rally

This is an intermediate class for dogs who have completed either Puppy Class or Household Manners. Foundational skills for Rally or Obedience will be covered as well as handler skills and knowledge. Competitive rules and regulations will be taught to handlers and both dogs and handlers will get to practice real signs and courses.

We have a beginner and an advanced scent work class. Sign ups for advanced class are currently closed as classes are ongoing and full. Beginner class will cover how to key your dog in to a specific scent, rules and regulations for competing, and provide practice in different types of search areas. Any type of dog welcome! Beginner dogs will need to have taken puppy class or household basics for baseline commands.

Scent Work

Agility

This is an intermediate class for dogs who have completed either Puppy Class or Household Manners. Foundational skills for agility will be covered as well as rules and regulations for competitive agility. Dogs and handlers will learn jumps, weaves, and tunnels.

Beginner obedience covers the basics of entering competitive AKC Obedience. Handlers and dogs will learn to walk a heeling pattern for a judge, leave your dog, a stand or sit for evaluation, and a figure 8.
